Calm before the storm...

  • Mood:
  • Music: Chobits OST 1
  • Weather: 76F kinda sticky tho - humidity sucks

Well, I finally had a relaxing weekend.

I headed out to D's Friday night.  When I got there, we went to got a chance to see Hero.  We were going to go see it while we were at Otakon, but never made it there.  From what I understand it's a good thing... apparently the room it was showing in was packed.  I'm kinda glad we missed it there, tho.  It was a great movie, but the whole time I was thinking to myself, "boy am I glad these seats aren't making my ass numb".  Anyway, the point is... I highly recommend it.

Then on Saturday... let's see... Oh yeah!  We went to Delaware for some tax free shopping.  Got stuck in traffic on the way home from the Christiana Mall tho.    I hate construction traffic.  But I got a chance to read Trigun Maximum on the way home.

After that, D took a nap and I played the new game I got... Samurai somthing or other.... I forget.  Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but I think my brain fell out or something.  It's just like Dynasty Warriors, which I can't tell you how many hours flew by whilst playing.  I woke D up around 9 and we watched Here is Greenwood.  I didn't know what to make of it at first, but it ended up being really good.  Many, many laughs.  Too short, tho.  I thought it was gonna be a longer series, but there's only six episodes.    Oh well, no biggie.  Neither one of us were tired after that even tho it was around 1AM (he shouldn't have been after his nap), so he played his game, and I read my other two manga I got - Crescent Moon and Saiyuki.  I think it was around 3AM or so when I finally went to bed.  I have no idea what time he stayed up until.

Slept pretty much all day today (got up about 2-ish), then went out to try to find D a bookshelf.  He doesn't have any more room for his DVD's,   poor thing.    But we didn't have any luck.  Maybe next time.

Now here I sit, goofing off when I should be doing a schedule for work.    No sense in spoiling a perfectly good do nothing weekend, right?  That's what I thought.

Damn... slept too much today.  I need to get to bed because I'm in early tomorrow, but I'm not tired at all.  If I stay up, my rear end ain't gonna wanna do didley tomorrow.  And that'll just carry over every day because I won't be able to catch up on lost sleep.  AND, on top of all that, I'm working all weekend, too.  So it's going to be two weeks of grumpy.

Guess I need to just quit complaining, bite the bullet, and get my arse to bed.

Sooo.. good nite once again!
